Today’s “Ask Addie” question is about a feeling that so many of us have: this nagging inkling that we haven’t finished unpacking our faith baggage. That there’s still so much unsolved within us, so many questions and doubts and unhealed wounds and broken places relating to our faith journeys.
What do we do about that?
How do you make space to process those things — particularly when you’re a grown up person with grown up responsibilities? When you have kids? When you attend a church that brings up all of those complicated feelings every time you step in the door?
As a person who still finds herself sifting through baggage, even after writing two faith memoirs and doing several years of therapy, I have some thoughts.
